Import substitution and AI: Klinin specialists explored key trends at DairyTech 2026
Klinin specialists visited the 24th International DairyTech 2026 exhibition — the key industry event for dairy producers and meat processors. The exhibition became the focal point for discussing strategies of import substitution, localisation and the digital transformation of businesses.

Held from 27 to 29 January at Crocus Expo, the event attracted a record 5,415 trade visitors. Klinin's experts analysed the technological solutions on display and the business programme in order to offer customers the most up-to-date and effective approaches to comprehensive equipping of production facilities.

Main trends of the exhibition: localisation and a wider range
The focus on import substitution and localisation was the dominant trend. Major players showcased equipment assembled or entirely developed at Russian sites.

The second key direction was the broadening of the exhibition's scope. DairyTech now fully covers not only the dairy but also the meat processing industry. This reflects the growing demand for comprehensive solutions for the food industry. The exhibition featured guaranteed business meetings between equipment manufacturers and major buyers such as Auchan, Miratorg and Cherkizovo.

???? Digitalisation and AI in the spotlight of the business programme
The packed business programme of 17 events confirmed that artificial intelligence is no longer a technology of the future but has become a practical tool. In particular, a seminar discussed ready-made AI-based solutions for optimising production processes, quality control and logistics at meat and dairy processing plants.

The organisers also focused on digital services for effective networking. The DairyTech Connect platform allows market participants to find partners, arrange meetings and exchange contacts all year round. This approach to building business communities is in line with Klinin's philosophy: the company acts not just as a supplier but as a link between equipment manufacturers and end customers.
